How it got started

It’s been an interesting couple of weeks to say the least. Day by day we watch as the world changes. School is canceled. Grocery store shelves are bare. People work from home. Restaurants close. Streets empty. Gatherings are limited—500, 200, 50…10.  It’s hard not to feel alone these days.

But we are not alone.

“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous hand." – Isaiah 41:10

Although He is more than sufficient to fill any loneliness we might feel, it is not the Lord alone who is with us. We still have each other. Even though our ability to assemble has been limited, we have ways to reach out and communicate that brothers and sisters of the past could never have imagined.

In March, Sawyer’s song inspired us—God’s people from all over the world singing the same song together—in solidarity, in remembrance, in hope. A bold proclamation through tears, that despite darkening skies, we are committed to rising each morning to sing praises to the Merciful and Almighty God.

With all that is going on in the world right now, doesn’t it feel like it’s time to sing together again?

That’s what we hope to do with One Voice Online. We are going to collect recordings of brothers and sisters singing "The Rock of My Heart." We will blend all of our voices together and share them back with you as one voice.

This virus may keep us indoors, but it will not stifle our voices.

Won’t you join us?
